Taylor "T.T." Thompson
Co-Owner / Dance Educator & Choreographer
Accomplished dance professional with nearly two decades of experience in studio leadership, dance education, competitive team coaching, choreography, and program development. Owner of Dance Unlimited, with a career built around developing technically strong, versatile, confident performers and creating training environments where excellence is expected.
My own training began 30 years ago. I began teaching at Dance Unlimited in 2008 and became owner in 2024. Today I lead the vision, culture, and growth of a studio serving recreational and competitive dancers ages 3–18, through progressive training systems and original choreography grounded in musicality, athleticism, and artistry.
As a dancer, I earned a national championship with the multi-time national champion University of Louisville Dance Team and a silver medal at Dance Worlds, and trained in New York City at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway, and danced in the New York City Jazz Choreography Project. I also spent a stint performing with the ZOOperstars!, the traveling sports-entertainment group whose inflatable character acts play arenas and ballparks across the country. As a coach, I joined the Bellarmine University Dance Team staff in 2018 as an Assistant Coach, helping the program win a 2019 National Championship. Promoted to Head Coach in 2019, I guided the program through its transition from NCAA Division II to Division I and led the team to an additional second-place national finish, serving through 2023.
With 12+ years of choreography experience, I create competitive routines for studio, middle school, and high school teams, and have co-choreographed and coached two routines that performed at The Dance Awards, one of the most prestigious stages in competitive dance. In 2024, I was selected as a Master Class Instructor for Dance Masters of the Bluegrass.
My philosophy is simple: don't train to be good enough. Train to be undeniable.

Brittany Thompson
Co-Owner / Dance Educator & Choreographer
Two-time UDA National Champion and competitive dance educator driven by one goal: assisting dancers in reaching their full potential. As Co-Owner and Dance Educator at Dance Unlimited, I help drive the creative force of the studio and bring a champion's standard to everything I do, developing confident, technically strong performers and creating training environments where excellence is expected.
I won back-to-back UDA National Championships in 2003 and 2004 with the prestigious Floyd Central Dazzlers, as a member of the school's original national championship team. Experiencing what it takes to win at the highest level shaped the coach I am today.
That standard shows in the results. Over the past two seasons, my routines have gone undefeated through entire competitive seasons. I have also co-choreographed and coached two routines that performed at The Dance Awards, one of the most prestigious stages in competitive dance.
Beyond the studio, I am a professional makeup artist trained at MAC Cosmetics. My artistry includes makeup for celebrity clients during Kentucky Derby season and for hundreds of Louisville brides on their special day.

Sheryl Knight
Dance Educator & Choreographer
Sheryl is the former Captain and Head Choreographer of the University of Louisville Ladybirds Dance Team from 1990 - 1995. Sheryl has over 25 years of dance experience in Pom, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Sheryl is a former Universal Dance Association (UDA) instructor and choreographer. She worked for UDA for 8 years, traveling the country teaching both high school and college dance camps. Sheryl has also been a Master Hip Hop Instructor for the National Dance Alliance (NDA). Sheryl is a Professional choreographer who has choreographed over 60 national championship and world championship routines.
Her choreography has helped clinch championships for a number of teams on the Junior High, High School, College, and Studio All-Star levels. She has choreographed for the Phoenix Mercury co-ed Hip Hop team, a division of the Phoenix Suns NBA team. She has also danced for Arena Football teams, as well as the European Basketball League in Florence, Italy. Sheryl continues to travel the country teaching master classes and training in all styles of dance. Sheryl is currently the Head Coach of the multi-time National Champion University of Louisville Ladybird Dance Team!
Amber Cosman-Chapa
Dance Educator & Choreographer
Amber has over 28 years of dance experience. She started her dance journey at Dance Unlimited almost before she could walk. Her mother, Becky Cosman, is one of the owners. Amber has competed in numerous local and national competitions. She has crowned Ms. Pre-Teen Kentucky and went on to compete at the Ms. Pre-Teen USA pageant in LA. She was awarded Best Eyes, Best State Costume, and was also offered a chance to compete on Star Search. Unfortunately, the show ended before she got her chance. She was 1st Runner-Up at the KY State Fair Coca-Cola Classic Talent Competition twice.
Once as a tap soloist and once with a tap group. Amber has studied dance all over the country and lived in NYC for 5 years. During that time, she studied dance at the world-renowned Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan. She was lucky enough to be able to study under many of the choreographers from So You Think You Can Dance, including Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Sonya Tayeh, Brian Friedman, and Andy Blankenbeuhler. After studying there for 2 years, she was given her own class to teach in the BDC Childrenʼs Program and also asked to assist a few of the main teachers on staff. She trained in all styles of dance but specialized in lyrical, modern, tap, and contemporary. Amber was one of the CO-directors of Rileydance, a modern/ contemporary dance company, and a member of Tracie Stanfieldʼs Synthesis Dance Project. A contemporary, lyrical concert dance company based in NYC.
While in NYC, Amber also modeled for Wilhelmina Modeling Agency and was signed with Bloch Talent Agency. She appeared in magazines and on shows like The View on ABC (Chico’s Model), MTV Wannabe: Britney Spears on MTV(Britney Spears #2), and the Oxygen Channel’s Alanis Morrissette Live Concert. Amber has more recently been featured as the dance instructor of one of the contestants on an episode of Toddler’s and Tiara’s, Season 6. She currently choreographs for middle school and high school dance teams and is the coach of the multiple National Champion Tiny and Mini All-Star dance teams here at DU.
CHRISTIAN KNIGHT-GRAY

My name is Christian Knight-Gray and I was born and raised in Louisville Kentucky. My mom, Sheryl Knight, is an amazing teacher and choreographer so with her dance has always been at the forefront of my life. I began dancing competitively when I was 2 years old where I competed in my first UDA All-Star nationals, and have been with DU doing All-Star dance since I was 3 years old. There I competed in numerous local and national competitions including the Dance Worlds, The Summit Dance Championship, and have won several national titles. I competed with the Crosby Middle School dance team from 2016-2019 where we went undefeated and won 6 State and regional titles. I was also part of the Sacred Heart Academy dance team in 2019-2020 & 2022-2023 where we achieved state and regional titles and competed at UDA high school nationals. I am currently a part of the 20x National Champion University of Louisville Ladybirds. I have experience in numerous styles of dance: Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, Contemporary, and Tap. Most of my dance education has been through Dance Unlimited and have had the opportunity to learn from the best. I always knew I wanted to be as impactful as the people who got me where I am today, so being a teacher was always a dream of mine. I began my teaching journey here when I was 13 years old and assisted many teachers with their classes. From there I learned and progressed and was able to teach classes on my own by age 15. I have had the privilege of coaching competition teams as well as solos/duets/trios here at DU from the age of 16, until now!
