Tara began dancing at the age of three studying ballet, tap, tumbling and baton.  She has studied on both U.S. coasts at the world renowned Broadway Dance Center in NYC and The Edge Dance Center in Los Angeles California.  During her career she has worked with many of the industry's greats such as Mia Michaels, Doug Caldwell, Savion Glover, Barry Youngblood, Joe Tremaine, Albertine Maxwell and Marty Dew. Tara went on to study dance at The Youth Performing Art School and was lead soloist for three years.   In 1991 she graduated Dancer of the Year, from The Youth Performing Art School, with SEVENTEEN FULL dance scholarships!

Aside from performing, Tara has also been the assistant choreographer of Bacon's Live '91 and was assistant to choreographer Lavelle Smith, who choreographed for Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, Rhianna, Beyonce, Destiny's Child and many more! She has Best Choreography awards from Kids Artistic Revue (KAR), Star Systems, Tremaine, Regency Talent and JamFest!  She has been seen judging competitions for KAR as well!

Tara has taught at various places around the Louisville area and is well known for her classes to not only strengthen your dance technique but your body as well.  She began teaching at Dance Unlimited in 1998 and left in 2002 to explore other career aspects, but we cannot express how excited we are to have her back teaching again!
